About
Claire Foale is an abstract expressionist landscape artist.
Having lived in Christchurch, Dorset close to the sea and New Forest, and now based in York, North Yorkshire, I have always been inspired by nature and our changing relationship with it.
I have recently rediscovered my love of contemporary abstract and expressionist art, painting in natural colour to express the energy and capture the feeling of nature's landscapes.

I have chosen three simple interconnected natural themes, which I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed creating abstract and expressionist art that reflects them:
